The Child Guarantee
The Child Guarantee is responsible for the implementation in Portugal of the Council Recommendation establishing a European Child Guarantee. Once the National Action Plan 2022-2030 has been drawn up, as a result of a consultation process and the participation of various entities and strategic partners, children and young people and vulnerable families, it is essential to ensure its enforcement, follow-up and monitoring, with the Child Guarantee being the driving force of the Action Plan operation at the national, regional and local levels.
A Garantia para a Infância em Portugal | Principais Ações e Medidas
A Garantia Europeia para a Infância foi aprovada em Junho de 2021. O objetivo é reduzir 5 milhões de crianças em situação de pobreza na Europa até 2030. A nossa primeira prioridade foi elaborar o Plano de Ação Nacional. Em janeiro de 2023 o Plano de Ação é aprovado e remetido à Comissão Europeia. Em março de 2024 é remetido o primeiro reporte intercalar. Hoje, após dois anos e meio de implementação temos constituídos 146 Núcleos Locais da Garantia para a Infância em todo o país. No projeto de acompanhamento social já abrangemos mais de 50% do total de crianças beneficiárias da prestação da Garantia para a Infância. Muitas das medidas do Plano de Ação encontram-se em operacionalização e muitas já se encontram operacionalizadas.
